Saab says it has shown its increased commitment to the fleet market with the news that Paul Adler is to become its new head of fleet sales with effect from 1 May.

Mr Adler joined Vauxhall on the company's graduate scheme in 1992. He has since held a number of positions in both the marketing and fleet teams at General Motors, most recently as fleet marketing and mobility manager for Vauxhall.

Jonathan Nash, managing director of Saab GB, said: 'We're delighted to welcome Paul to the Saab team. Paul brings a wealth of experience of the motor industry and, in particular, the important fleet market. Saab has a clear plan for 2010 and beyond and we need the right people to help us achieve our ambitions.

'I think this move endorses the industry view that Saab is back in 2010 and is serious about the fleet market.'
